Now, FCC has enforced some fees (it's only like 10 odd bucks a year v/s the 10-15 bucks that popped up in taxes every month on the phone bill!) from what I understand, but it's worth it. The Telo is the redesigned product they've just launched and I've had my hands on one the past month or so. It's simply GREAT. You can hook up your own telephone or get their handset (launches in a month or so from what I know). When I tried to activate it I found there are no numbers available in my area code. <br />Apparently the state of Montana doesn't include Kalispell, Missoula, or parts in between in ooma-land. <br />The customer service rep recommmended I get a different number and keep my landline so as to not be a long-distance number for anyone local who might wish to call me. <br />I am irritated for the waste of my time with this product. They should make it known up front that the service is not available in all areas. Rating: 1 / 5 I purchased this item. But after reading the some of previous reviews and found out that the free (free up to the first 12 months) basic plan does not include caller ID but and 800 support ..., I just find it quite ridiculously outrageous.
