I haven’t gotten this product, but you might want to check out CNET. Currently 17 users are averaging a 4.5 Star rating there.

I purchased this phone to go along with my Ooma system however upon receiving the phone I realized that there is no place to plug in a headset on this phone nor could I find anything in regards to Bluetooth connecting either. Can’t comment how well it works as no headset jack is a deal breaker for me as I was going to use it for my home office.

I ordered 2 of the Telo DECT 6.0 handsets. I have never seen such a piece of garbage in my life. But, made in China? I should have known. Ooma says 2 phone sets can be used with their Telo yet they don’t work. Their customer service lines are manned by Philipine people. They keep pushing out the date for upgrades. When the one Telo I used could be used for one line it kept freezing up or crashing to the point where I had to remove and re install the battery time and time again. Then it got to the point where I had to reboot the Telo Hub.
Forget it. I sent 2 phones back. They are worthless pieces of junk and Telo is trying to make a fast buck.

I got the deal with the Today show so I got the ooma telo base and handset for $229 final price. I basically got the handset for free, considering that I think it was a good choice, it isn’t perfecft, but neither was the phone I had which had a dead screen on it. I tend to agree with other users that this isn’t the perfect phone, but I personally like the looks of it, I don’t think it looks cheap, and enjoy the product as a whole. Would I pay full, or slightly reduced price for it? Probably. Though here are my two complaints:
1. ooma states that you can download your contacts to the phone, at this point I can’t even manually input contacts into the phone. They should have waited until this was finished to release the phone (apparently they are working on it).
2. The screen does not display the same as the picture shows, the screen is actually grey with black letters, harder to read than the picture shows. I wish it was actually black with white letters, much easier on the eyes.
Once they get the contacts up and running, assuming it works well, I would rate this a 4 on the star scale.

I don’t know how they can advertise it as such a spectacular handset! The speaker phone is hardly “clear” or “loud.” Furthermore, the phone drops to 2/3 charge almost immediately after answering it. They also claim that it is “high definition” sound which is far from it. I haven’t heard a phone sound this poor since the middle 80s. It still doesn’t have online phone list capability. It was also supposed to support Google voice which is still not an option.
Overall, it is of cheap quality. The software to support mulitple handsets was was supposed to be released December 1, then December 8, December, 11th, now December 18th.
Dect 6.0: Really? My 5.8 Ghz gets much better range
Online Phonebook: Not yet. Doesn’t have the capability yet.
Personal Number: Don’t know, can’t use multiple handsets.
Add blacklist Numbers: If you can’t, it’s not intuitive. Sure can’t figure that out…
Loud, Clear Speakerphone: definitely not accurate whatsoever.
Intercom: Who knows, still can’t use more than one handset.
Update: It’s now the end of December, and the system STILL doesn’t support more than one handset! I have the system about 25 feet away from the handset and it no longer stays in range. The battery drops 25% in charge as soon as you answer the system (when you can stay within range).
