Siemens has launched an innovative new unified communications software platform; the OpenScape Unified Communications (UC) Server. The OpenScape UC Server is a revolution in communication design. It removes the artificial legacy barriers between todays traditionally separate voice, video and unified communications systems to support a comprehensive suite of UC applications. This suite will initially include enterprise grade voice with carrier grade scalability and reliability, IP least cost routing, video conferencing and role-based UC applications. OpenScape UC Server software is the foundation for the new OpenScape Unified Communications Suite. The OpenScape UC Server enables presence, administration, session control and other shared services across the current family of OpenScape UC Suite of applications.
