This is a video tutorial on how to Autotune (or add other effects to) your voice in just about any program or game you can think of. The tutorial primarily focuses on the autotune plugin but you can do much more, you just need to experiment.

@anias702 I’m not familiar with how Justin TV does its audio, but if it was just a standard microphone then it should be easy to get the game sound in. All you would have to do is record from stereo mix (may be called something different depending what OS you have). To have both microphone and sound would depend on the program (sometimes this would require multiple sources, as in multiple sound cards.) Feel free to message me, sounds like a fun project.

Hey Jeph, was wondering if you could help me out? I use the justin tv site to stream games I play online, I figured I could use this method to play back the audio from the game and transmit my microphone as well but I couldn’t figure it out. Anyway you can help a guy out? :] Oh and, I don’t have a mixer nor capture card

@Diluted99 I believe it was the version he was using (we resolved it). I’m using version 406 if that helps. If you need any further help send me a message with your MSN/STEAM name.

@Dunthyon Just go to the audio section in your control panel and make sure your input (recording) is set to Virtual Audio Cable Line 1. I can’t remember what VISTA calls it exactly but if you have trouble you can send me a message with your MSN/STEAM contact and I’ll help you out on teamviewer.

@LikMiDik VAC is a virtual device manager, like Daemon Tools. It “tricks” your computer into thinking something is there that doesn’t physically exist. Some anti-malware could flag that, but you might be careful where you get it from. If you have any further trouble finding a working copy you’re more than welcome to send me a message.

@TQKythe They’re watching me o.O

@johnt20 Yes, Mixcraft has to be running while you have your settings set for Virtual Audio Cable.
June 7th, 2010 at 7:02 am
Do I need mixcraft running for this to work?

Lmfao, I love your singing.
June 7th, 2010 at 8:11 am
@jephwalkin I found a full version of Mixcraft 5, I downloaded a trial version of the autotune efx. but I removed the VAC since it shows up as malware.

Fucking lold so hard when the guy in game asked “How do I take a screenshot?” Then someone else said “f10″ and the guy disconnected – CLASSIC. And also there’s something else I lold hard about but I think jeph intended it to be a secret.

@LikMiDik Do you have the trial or the full version. In the trial you are limited to 1 line and it is grayed out.
