i’m looking for a skype phone, but when i saw this one, i could not help to think about
old nokia cellphones. the design is not very high tech looking in my opinion.

I bought this VoIP phone to use with SKYPE on my Linux (Ubuntu 9.10) laptops.
I read a review that it worked easily with the Linux OS.- NOT!
Probably the unit (mine a P1KH1) is a victim of slip stream production
methods and the prior unit ‘may’ have worked with Linux…..
No linux drivers supplied, I have bought a 13 dollar brick.

Much needed device. I got tired of having to point my mouse on the soft pad in order to dial. Great if you need to make multiple calls.

The phone is recognized by the computer with no problems. However, I would not recommend it except as a back up device. It is very difficult to hear and be heard on it.

I’m a skypeaholic. I got this phone because the speakers on my little notebook are not very loud and if I happen to be in another room, I can’t hear the ringing when calls come in. I really hoped that this phone would solve that problem and happily it did.
Installing the software was fairly easy and it works as I expected.
It’s a basic phone, but it suits my needs. I kinda wish I had gone for the cordless as it would have given me more flexibility, but since I wasn’t sure if it was going to solve my problem, I didn’t want to make a bigger investment at first.
